How to Get There:

Interested in some amazing outdoor activities you can do right here in Connecticut, continue reading for more information on Lavender Pond Farm one of the most beautiful locations for picnics in the state of Connecticut. There’s a variety of ways to get there including taking Route 80 from I91. You can also reach Lavender Pond Farm by taking I95. Once you arrive, enjoy the smell of lavender and the sunshine.

What to Bring:

If you’re coming for the day, pack a picnic basket. There is no restaurant onsite but there’s plenty of space to sit or lay down and relax. Lavender Pond Farm is the ideal place for a picnic with the family or your someone special.

What you will see and Do:

There’s a variety of things to see and do when you get there. From the store onsite to the acres of lavender. If you come with children, the trolley ride around the farm is one of the best things to look forward to. Just keep in mind the trolley ride is only available in summer. There’s a mega chess set available for you to play and a gazebo that’s great for taking photos. There are also bees onsite, if you’re interested in learning more about how they use them with the lolli-pops they sell in the onsite store.

Bring Your Wallet:

I advise you to bring your wallet as the store onsite has amazing treats you will want to take away with you. During the summer you can have a taste of their lavender lemonade. There are lavender plants you can purchase and plant at home. From condiments to sprays and oils I recommend you come prepared to shop as we’ve visited twice and each time we’ve left with bags-full of great items.

Why I Can’t Wait to Visit Again:

I honestly can’t wait to visit again because there’s so many amazing things to do when visiting the farm. I can say with certainty that Lavender Pond Farm is one of my favorite outdoor spaces in the state of Connecticut. It’s a great place for families and an even better place for a romantic date.
