Hotel Review: A Seaside Gem

Staying at the Radisson Blu Seaside Hotel Helsinki was an exciting experience from start to finish. From the welcoming to the check-out there is nothing but professionalism in a great atmosphere. The design of the hotel is very modern. The bar and the restaurant had unique features that set them apart from others I’ve experienced in previous hotels. The room was clean and bright with large windows that opened to a courtyard. The food was also something to write home about especially the lovely breakfast that was prepared every morning. Continue reading for more on my review of the Radisson Blu Seaside Hotel.

What to Expect: The Room

When you walk in the room the first thing you will notice are the large windows and how bright they make the room. There’s a lot of Helsinki a around the room including the posters and the Nordic minimalism of the furniture. The beds were comfortable and although a full-size bed was what I slept on I actually enjoy the bedding. There is a bathroom behind the door when you enter the room. This is a very clean space with black and white features including the tiles. The room has the usual goodies including a flat-screen television along with a table and chair. The room also features some wine, water and glasses.

What to Expect: Dining

I have nothing but good things to say about the dining here. Apart from the sauna I have to say the food and breakfast in the morning were the best parts of my stay at this hotel. From the breads, which there were a wide variety. To the jams and cheeses, this place certainly serves the breakfast of champions. I spent each morning having yogurt, toast, scrambled eggs, and a variety of fruits and cheeses.

There is also a grill, if there is something you want such as an omelet this can be made to order. Due it’s popularity keep in mind there may be a line to get things made on the grill. The hotel also serves dinner, which can be seen as fine dining Helsinki style. There is also a bar with a variety of drinks to choose from. There’s also plenty of beers and wines to choose from. Hotel Amenities:

From the moment I stepped foot in this hotel I knew I would have a great experience. From the offering of water and cookies in the lobby to the comfortable, welcoming seating available as you walk into the hotel. You can tell this place certainly has all the Nordic charm you need in a Helsinki hotel. This hotel offers many amenities including a gym and sauna. I enjoyed meeting so many people at the sauna and gym.

It was great there were separate saunas for men and women. This also extends to the locker rooms as well. The entire place was kept clean and in good standing. But be sure to check with the front desk about using the sauna and gym, but also know that the key card for the room is used to get into this area.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this review of the Radisson Blu Seaside Hotel Helsinki.
