Why Stay at a Hotel:

I thought long and hard about staying at a hotel in London when I was planning my trip. Finding the right location and a hotel with good amenities is always important to me. One of the things staying at a hotel offers in comparison to an Air B&B is breakfast. Most hotels in London offer free breakfast. For me, this means one less expense while I’m traveling. Unfortunately for me, going to London early 2022 meant experiencing some changes to hotel dining policies.

Where is it Located:

The hotel was located in the Earl’s Court section of London. For me this was a centrally located area that allowed me walking access to Kensington, Chelsea and Notting Hill and even access to central London by public transportation. The Earl’s Court area is filled with quiet, relaxed neighborhoods, that made you forget you were a tourist. It was easy to blend right in at the supermarkets and pubs in the community. The hotel is very indiscreet and unassuming. Tucked right into one of the neighborhoods quieter streets, with just a small awning indicating the name of the hotel.

What’s Included:

Not only small and modern, the interior was cozy with everything you need for a short stay. The beds were comfortable, but a little small for my liking. If you book one of the smaller rooms be aware it is very small. Meaning you get a small room with an even smaller bathroom. A television and a small desk with unassuming seating that tucks under the desk. The room came with a teapot and cups as well as the usual towels, shampoo and body wash. All the essentials you need for a short stay. If you arrive before check-in they will also store your luggage securely. Allowing you some time to see the area before checking into the hotel.

How Much Does it Cost:

Looking at the cost of the hotel I have to say it was very reasonable for my budget running me under $350 for a short stay of a few days. Unfortunately for me the dining situation was a disappointment and it ended up costing me about an extra $60. Heading there now, the dining situation would be different as restrictions have been lifted. Making this location a great spot for a short stay trip.

Why I Chose to Stay Here:

The Mowbray Court hotel has to be one of the best centrally located hotels I could find in London. It was budget-friendly, comfortable and modern, exactly what I was looking for since I wouldn’t be spending much time in the room. Being able to get the bus and train easily from a centrally located hotel is not only economical, but a great way to experience a large city without staying in the center of it. I would definitely stay here again, but only if I was staying in London for 3 days or less.
