My International Travel Playlists:

Playlists are a must for me on vacation. My eclectic tastes in music allows me to relax and embrace the moment, what ever it may be, when I’m traveling. When I’m on an island, I need music that puts my mind at ease and puts me in a relaxed mood, usually that includes some old school reggae.  My Windows phone was brand new at the time, so I was exploring all the features, especially the free music I downloaded before leaving home. Exploring Northern Europe I experienced a variety of emotions based on the places we visited, the people, the food and the culture.  But most of all I experienced a level of contentment and appreciation for my experience and this was reflected in the music I was listening to.

What’s your destination playlist? Do you mix a little reggae with some R&B like a nice drink to have in the sun, or do you listen to the country’s local radio station to get a vibe of your environment.  Planning an up coming international trip, check out my playlists for some inspiration and good vibes. I’ll update my playlists in 2017 once I hit Spain and Iceland. Stay tuned my friends.

  1. It is interesting how we associate music with certain events in our lives like we often do smell. I have a very fond memory of being in the mountains of Patagonia and hearing “Hotel California.” Now, whenever I hear that song, I am transported back to that place.
