Welcome to the Podcast:

I’m excited to have finally recorded. My goal here is for this podcast to be a space for teachers and aspiring teachers from across the United States to seek out opportunities that speak to their joy. I’ve been blogging since 2016 and each blog post created had been about travel, food and life in between. During the 2020 lockdown I wanted to take a new direction.

In the past I’d enjoyed education tourism opportunities after visiting Finland and Sweden. After each of these experiences I felt renewed in my passion for teaching and working with young children. I always hoped to inspire teachers who might become burnt out to get a new perspective on their love of teaching while seeing the world. Over 2020 this lead me to look further into opportunities to teach abroad, from early childhood to higher education. After connecting with a variety of bloggers and content creators from all areas of education. Over many months I thought about creating a podcast that would get the information I had found and was still seeking to the people who would need it the most. For me it was women of color. Although this podcast has information for everyone, it is specifically geared toward women and women of color.
