An Exploration of Booking Reservations at Fortum and Mason:

To begin my review of Fortum and Mason, I thought to myself, what better way to start than at the beginning with my reservation. When I thought about visiting Fortum and Mason for afternoon tea, I booked the Piccadilly location for my visit. There are a variety of dining options in the building but the afternoon tea salon is located on the 4th floor. It is important to book the reservations ahead of time. Click here to book your reservation. Before arriving you will get a confirmation email, be sure to respond with any changes or questions you might have. I knew I was coming to London in March and booked the afternoon tea reservation two months ahead.

When You Arrive:

When I arrived to the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon at Fortum and Mason I was greeted with a grand piano and ornate gold leaf’s hanging from the ceiling. The greeter at the front was very welcoming and as I arrived at the opening of the dining day. Arriving when many people had not arrived yet was a site to see. The choice of seats were endless. I wanted a corner where I could relax, have views of the dining area and still have some level of privacy. The waitstaff were very attentive and accommodating. This is exactly what you need when visiting an elegant tea salon.

What You Get:

There are so many options that come with the cost ($86) of the afternoon tea at Fortum and Mason. The afternoon tea menu is always changing, but here is a link to the latest pdf of the afternoon tea menu. The options include a classic afternoon tea, vegetarian afternoon , and a savory afternoon tea. There are also options to mix and match the menu options. What I loved the most was that it was possible to get an additional plate of any tiered tray serving. The tiered trays included sweet desserts, savory sandwiches and scones with jam and cream. There was also what seemed like an endless option of teas, which was to be expected in a tea salon.

Why I’m Writing a Review:

Walking into Fortum and Mason is an experience. From the entrance of the store, to the items you can shop for and the afternoon tea experience; Fortum and Mason is an experience to be had in London. I have been writing reviews for years. It is one of my favorite things to feature here on the blog. I am a consumer who relies heavily on reviews of clothes, stores, restaurants and products. With this review I wanted to bring my London experience to the blog, because this is a dining experience I highly recommend. I enjoyed not only the afternoon tea experience but the atmosphere and the customer service. Fortum and Mason is definitely at the top of my list of places to have afternoon tea in London and I can’t wait to return again. Here is a link to other afternoon tea experiences I had in England.
