Inspired to Write:

After running my podcast Loves Teaching, Will Travel for the past year, I decided to turn my podcast into a book. I created the book to help educators get informed and inspired after years of burn out on the job. I was inspired to write the book after attending a writers workshop last February. Surrounded by women who were writers and aspiring writers in their own right. These women who were working to bring their thoughts and vision to others. I have been blogging for years and decided to take my ability to write in a new direction. I wanted to put my thoughts down in a creative way into something that could reach a wider audience.

Where to Start:

If you find yourself interested in being able to teach from anywhere, you want to start with my book. Then move on to the podcast. I’ll break down why you need both and how they will help you to make informed decisions. The Loves Teaching, Will Travel Ebook can be found on Amazon. The chapters break down into a variety of areas. From knowing your “why” to finding the countries with the best salaries. The book is an interactive book with journal prompts to help you along the way in deciding if this is even the right decision for you. The podcast is also a great place to hear the stories of teachers who have taught abroad and how they got there.

How to Get Informed and Inspired:

Get your hands on the podcast if you want to get informed and inspired to teach from anywhere. Take a few minutes each day to listen to the stories of teachers who have done it. As the creator and host of the podcast, I enjoyed having women on the podcast who shared their stories openly and honestly. Not only sharing the good, but everything in between. From missing home and not liking the food where they are to saving money to travel around the world. Their stories are not in the book, as I believe it would be best for them to share it in their own words. But by listening on the podcast you get a chance to hear it from their own voice and it gives you a chance to reach out to them, as they leave their information at the end of each episode.

Some Great Next Steps:

The next thing you can do is check out some of the episodes and show notes here on the blog. Share posts and episodes with people you know, especially educators. Pay it forward for those who are ready for a change, but don’t know where to start. You can also leave a comment or question here.
